The problem is after a short while it drops down to that slower speed again, and I have to interrupt what I'm doing, install the new WLAN driver again, and restart the PC. Recently found this thread while searching for answers as well, after uninstalling the drivers I had originally I installed what seems to be a newer version of the driver here, I checked RTLCE-VA4. This thread is locked.

I installed the Technical Preview on a self build system of mine which uses a Realtek RTLCE Wireless LAN chip by means of an expansion card, and was able to gtl8192ce-va4 online even during setup using the included drivers with what is reportedly full signal strength however it felt quite slow and this was confirmed by a speed test.
This install may help the kernel driver if it does not work properly drops out frequently. I've been searching around for a few days now and I haven't had any luck. Asked 6 years, 4 months ago.
